Spring is Near!

Emma is 16 months old now. She is a busybody!!! She goes from the minute she gets up. For awhile I was wondering why I was so tired in the evenings. Then it occured to me that I was constantly on the go chasing Emma. She is down to one nap now, and I am lucky if I can get an hour and half nap out of her. Sadly, I do not have many pictures of her because everytime I turn the camera on she comes running over to look at the pictures.
At her last doctor's appointment, she weighed 20 lbs and was 30 1/2 inches long. She has had some gastrointestinal problems. Reflux medicines made it worse. For right now, I am limiting the amount she eats and what she eats. We go back to the gastroenterologist next week.
She loves to be outside and does not seem to understand why mommy does not want to go outside when it is chilly and rainy.
Michael and I have enjoyed watching her grow and engage in her world. It is so neat to see the world through her eyes. Makes me realize all that I take for granted!!

The Peacock

My mom watched Emma the other day while Michael and I were working in the area. They went over to the Willcox's house to look for the peacock. Emma was pretty fascintated with him. She also loved walking by the pond. Too bad for my mom's sake the weather was frigid!

Snow Day in SC

We woke up to a dusting the other week. Emma was not too sure about the snow. We bundled her up to let her walk around in the snow but she was not interested. So off to daycare she went while Michael and I worked from home.

Emma and her Doc

"We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo"

Michael and I took Emma to the zoo for the very first time today. I know sad considering the zoo is only 20 minutes away from our house. We just could not justify paying to get in and possibly only staying a few minutes. My Grandmother gave us a Zoo membership for Christmas. I have a feeling we will get good use out of it. Emma was fascinated by everything especially the fish and jellyfish. She loved looking at all the monkeys and watching the lion play. She was not too sure of the birds. I was not either considering they pooped every 5 seconds.
